What Customers Say About Fallout 3: Prima Official Game Guide (Prima Official Game Guides):

They are not in alphabetical order nor or they in order to come by them. This a terribly put together guide, its impossible to find the quests.

It can also spoil the storyline if you are not careful. Just make sure you have a lot of labeled bookmarks. Very detailed guide. It has everything you need and more.

fallout 3 is a massive game so i want to get a guide so i can read up on it1st the book is like a phone book heavy on the outside but the pages inside are the same paper they use in a phone book super thin like tissue paperthe book is in some order but its not a neat book its a mess in the being you can get a headache trying look for what you wantalso theirs on index i have two oblivion guides and they great this one just sucks

I highly recommend this book to anyone who avidly enjoys Fallout 3 even if you have beat all the quests and found all the locations. With a resource like this you can't go wrong roaming the wasteland of Washington DC. I doubt anyone has truly discovered every Easter Egg and secret but with this book you could be one step closer to that goal. First off I have to say that it DOES contain a Table of Contents but it does not have an index in the back of the book. The book is almost 500 pages of tips/tricks/data/maps/locations/etc and it literally is a cornucopia of information.

this happens all through the guide, and simple cross referencing would be a BIG help. In the middle of the quest "wasteland survival guide" and it mentions at one point that i should combine quests with another of the misc quests. If you are like me, you took several hours and just walked around the Wasteland looking at stuff. whenever a location or quest is mentions, just tell me what page its on in the guide. If those two things wouldnt bother you then go for it and get the book. In fact if you want a run down of the location you have to figure out what zone the location is in and then turn to the section of the guide that covers that zone and then look up the name and then finally you can read all about it. Well I love the Prima guides for the most part.

While it completely covers the main quest and all the side quests, I have 2 MAJOR problems with the guide.1)No index. This is a great idea, except there is no cross reference to the page the other quest is found on, so i turn to the front of the book, find the misc quest that is mentioned and then turn to it, only to discover it was only 10 pages away from where i just was reading. I used the Oblivion one so much that I knew i wanted the Fallout3 one as soon as I got the game itself. This is not helpful and is very time consuming, to the point that i just stopped looking places up.2)No cross references. all the info you could ever want is available in the book, but it is far from easy to find. I never imagined to be so let down by it.

The problem here is that when i found something there was no index in the book for me to know which page to turn to see if there was any quests or missions i could do in the place i just found.
